Mike Miller is no longer being considered by the Los Angeles Lakers, a league source confirmed to NBA News and Rumors. Miller was originally offered the Mid-Level Exception by the Los Angeles Lakers according to Fox Sports, but sources believe the signing of Steve Blake killed all chances of Miller signing with the defending champions.
Miller isn’t upset, though, according to the source. There are plenty of other teams willing to pay Miller above the MLE including the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Clippers. Also, both Dwyane Wade or LeBron James are expected to court Miller to play alongside them whenever they sign with a team.
Miller was willing to take a paycut to play with the defending champions but, somewhat surprisingly, he has several other teams that will gladly take him.
